Between the computarized Lafayette Polygraphs which one operates the best LX-3000, LX-4000 or LX-5000. Not which one has better hardware or program enhancements.

What does "operate" mean if not better hardware?

Stay away from the 3000. It worked in its day, but it's not supported and it's got issues the others don't.

Barry, based on an email he sent to me, his question is actually:
quote:
what I need is to make a point between the Lafayette LX-3000, LX-4000 and LX-5000 since all are basically the same. (They are made to generate graphs) so basically the question would be which one graphs better and has a better working GSR?

I don't have much experience with compuerized Lafayette, but I would hate to have to try to argue that particular issue between manuafacturers, much less between subsequent models from the same manufacturer. My sense is that when comparing tracings obtained from 3 different Lafayette models, the quality of the tracings would have more to do with the placement of the components, the sensitivity adjustments and the subject's physiology, than the ability of the instrument to generate graphic images of data or the quality of the electrodermal sensing circuitry.

But, that is just one man's opinion
